Dr. Joseph Varghese Kusumalayam CMI has been associated with Sacred Heart College since 2014. He holds masters in English Language and Literature and the doctoral degree from the the University of Mumbai. He had also worked in the diocese of Mumbai for nearly 6 years as a parish priest and youth animator before moving to academia. He is actively involved in research with publications in peer-reviewed international journals. His research interest pertains to areas of education, religion, philosophy, modern and postmodern novels, children’s literature and psychology. He is actively involved in the curricular and extra curricular activities of the college. He coordinates the Scholar Support Programme(SSP), Add On programmes, agriculture club, drama and cycle clubs of the college. He is appointed as the NSS programme officer for the academic year 2020-21.
